Prospect Children
Q: Joy, what do you feel is important
for children to have, growing up at
home?
Q: Joseph, what one thing would you
like to see change in the church in
Nigeria?
The home, a child’s 昀椀rst environment,
shapes their growth in no small way.
Love is most important in every child’s
growth that is God’s agape love.
Family care is a child’s greatest need,
in昀氀uencing all aspects of development.
Parents who inten琀椀onally ins琀椀l God’s
love and sel昀氀ess care help children
make purposeful decisions and recover
from mistakes, fostering emo琀椀onal and
spiritual stability.
I love the church of God in Nigeria,
Christ himself is ac琀椀vely washing His
body, the church. More Chris琀椀ans in
Nigeria ought to become disciples and
stop being “junk-ea琀椀ng members”.
Be琀琀er devo琀椀on to personal
rela琀椀onships and service to God
through discipleship is urgently needed.
Q: Joseph and Joy, what do you hope
to achieve at SBS and Prospect this
year?
Each child has a God-given des琀椀ny.
We are here to o昀昀er them the support
needed in their transforma琀椀ve
journey spiritually, academically and
in important life decisions. We want to
provide personal support. Speci昀椀cally
this year, we believe that transforming
one child at a 琀椀me is equal to
transforming one genera琀椀on.
Q: Joseph and Joy, from your
perspec琀椀ve why do you think it’s
important for Soteria teams from
the UK to come to Nigeria?
Like the Apostle Paul’s return to the
believers recorded in Acts, the yearly
visits encourage our hearts. We get to
learn more about the vision of Soteria,
prac琀椀cally and 昀椀rsthand.
It ma琀琀ers a lot that the sta昀昀 in Nigeria
understand the original mission and
vision. And of course, each visit means
more support for vulnerable youth and
children. That is always impac琀昀ul.
