Church Pastors and Leaders
at Lekan’s Ordina琀椀on
Conversation with Rev Lekan Adejumo
Lekan Adejumo was six years old when Soteria Trust sponsored him to a琀琀end
school at Prospect School, Ibadan, Nigeria. Having completed Prospect
Secondary School, Lekan’s sponsorship enabled him to a琀琀end Soteria Business
School. Lekan lives in the UK and works for Soteria Trust.
Q: What does it mean to you, now you
are ordained?
like my earthly children trust me and
their mum.
It is a great privilege and blessing when
leaders realise and acknowledge the
calling and gi昀琀ing of God upon the
life of a person. God is the one who
appoints, anoints, and sets us apart
by His Holy Spirit to do the work of
ministry. Being ordained has created in
me more awareness and consciousness
of the hand of God upon my life and
how He will help me carry out those
responsibili琀椀es ahead of me through
the empowerment and enablement of
His Holy Spirit.
Q: What have you learned in the past
12 months?
Q: What have your children taught
you?
One of the most important things I
have learned from my children is how
to simply trust in Jesus. They have
complete trust in me and my wife as
their parents. I want to have complete
trust in God as my heavenly father just

I have learned and con琀椀nue to learn
more especially in the areas of
evangelism and making disciples.
Q: What do you like most about
visi琀椀ng Nigeria?
I like it when I work with the poor
children and vulnerable young adults
in Nigeria. It reminds me of when I was
like them (not knowing what the future
holds) and does make me wonder what
the Lord has for each of them in their
future. It excites me when I see their
smiley faces despite the challenges
they have. It gives me joy to be with
them every 琀椀me we visit Nigeria.
Q: What is one strength and weakness
of the Church in Nigeria?
