REFLECTION
The church has been described too often as ‘the army that
shoots its own wounded’.This book can help! As a close friend
of the author, I know that he not only shares from his
heart and his experience but always seeks to be faithful to
his understanding of Scripture, to point out practical ways
that we can and must do better in the areas of singleness,
marriage, and divorce.
Andy Economides has written a punchy and readable
resource here which challenges my own understanding
and practice and took me back to the Bible again to work
out these thorny issues that we all must reckon with. I
will turn to He Hates or God Hates time and time again as
I seek to help others, so that we can comfort others with
the comfort we ourselves have received.

questions about their current emotional and stressful
situations. They are hoping for greater insight and
understanding from the Scriptures. One of the
